A rapidly growing cybersecurity firm specialising in protecting blockchain ecosystems is seeking an experienced Offensive Security Engineer to join its elite team. Role Overview
The Offensive Security Engineer will be responsible for conducting advanced security assessments, penetration testing and adversary simulations. This role requires a deep understanding of blockchain security, smart contract vulnerabilities and offensive security techniques to help organisations strengthen their defences against evolving threats.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute realistic adversary simulations, from initial concept to final reporting.
Perform security testing on applications, networks and business processes.
Research and develop cutting-edge offensive security techniques and methodologies.
Design and build custom tools and exploits to enhance security testing capabilities.
Clearly communicate identified risks and recommended remediations to stakeholders.
Work both independently and collaboratively on complex security challenges.
Ensure compliance with ethical security standards and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Extensive experience in offensive security and penetration testing (5+ years).
A minimum of 2 years’ experience auditing DeFi protocols (e.g., Solidity, Solana, Rust-based ecosystems).
Proficiency with common penetration testing tools (BurpSuite, Metasploit, etc.).
Strong knowledge of blockchain infrastructure and smart contract security.
Expertise in modern web application security and authentication systems.
Proficiency in at least one scripting language.
Strong ability to analyse technical risks and identify security vulnerabilities.
Excellent technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to explain security concepts to non-technical audiences.
Relevant security certifications (OSCP, OSCE, GPEN, GWAPT, LPT, CISSP) are a plus but not required.
