VP of Engineering

What you’ll do

This is a senior engineering leadership role for a hands-on builder who can scale a high-performing development organisation. You will oversee engineering efforts across internal teams, external contributors, and client integrations, ensuring delivery of robust, production-grade infrastructure.

• Build and evolve internal engineering processes, workflows, and execution standards
• Co-lead engineering strategy with the CTO and Head of Product
• Oversee external development partners and governance models
• Coordinate client and prover integrations end to end
• Own technical project management and delivery tracking
• Implement best practices around testing, releases, documentation, and communication
• Contribute hands-on to code when needed to unblock teams

• Build the engineering foundation of a company redefining institutional blockchain infrastructure
• Translate high-level strategy into structured, executable engineering plans
• Act as a central technical coordinator across engineering, product, and business stakeholders
• Work across distributed systems, multi-layer and multi-VM blockchain architectures
• Balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution
• Introduce discipline, structure, and scalable processes in a fast-moving environment

Minimum qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ years in senior leadership roles
• Strong background in distributed systems, blockchain, or infrastructure engineering
• Proven experience building engineering processes in high-growth environments
• Experience coordinating multiple teams, including external or distributed contributors
• Deep understanding of CI/CD, testing, release management, and documentation
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Comfortable contributing code when required
• Europe-based preferred, with ability to work across time zones

Bonus points

• Experience with blockchain infrastructure, cryptography, prover systems, or L1/L2s
• Familiarity with enterprise or institutional blockchain architectures
• Experience managing vendors or open-source contributors
• Strong project management instincts and tooling experience
• Knowledge of EVM internals, zkVMs, or ZK proving systems
• Background in regulated or institutional technology environments
