What you’ll do
This is a high-impact, hands-on SRE leadership role for a senior engineer who will own reliability, performance, and operational excellence across production systems, Virtual Blockchain environments, and validator infrastructure.
- Own production reliability, resilience, and uptime across critical systems
- Design, build, and operate scalable cloud environments for multi-layer blockchain execution and prover workflows
- Define and implement SRE processes including incident response, observability, alerting, on-call, and reliability KPIs
- Establish best practices for release management, configuration, secrets, and environment reproducibility
- Support deployment, scaling, and reliability of client-specific Virtual Blockchain environments
- Partner with engineering teams on protocol operations, validator infrastructure, and network upgrades
- Drive automation across provisioning, deployment, and testing workflows
- Build and mentor a high-performing SRE team as the organisation scales
- Act as the technical authority on infrastructure architecture and operational decisions

Minimum qualifications
- 7+ years in SRE, DevOps, platform, or infrastructure-focused engineering roles
- Proven experience owning reliability and uptime for distributed or mission-critical systems
- Strong Linux, networking, and cloud platform expertise (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, observability, alerting, incident response, and on-call systems
- Strong working knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, secrets management, logging, and metrics
- Ability to design fault-tolerant, automated infrastructure at scale
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, product, and protocol teams
- Europe-based preferred, with ability to operate across global time zones
Bonus points
- Experience operating blockchain or distributed ledger infrastructure
- Familiarity with EVM-based systems, zkVMs, or cryptographic workloads
- Experience supporting high-throughput, low-latency, or regulated environments
- Prior experience building or leading an SRE team
