Senior UX Product Designer (AW)
As a Senior UX Product Designer, you will be at the intersection of DeFi innovation and B2C UX design, playing a critical role in shaping user experiences that redefine how everyday users engage with DeFi and trading. Your work will centre on crafting seamless, intuitive, and highly engaging user journeys, leveraging your deep understanding of DeFi, trading, and consumer needs to transform complex financial strategies into accessible, game-changing tools.
This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the future of DeFi trading through user-centred design while collaborating closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders in a fast-paced, stealth-mode initiative backed by a well-capitalised company. You will design with a strong emphasis on user research and data-driven decisions to ensure product-market fit and contribute to building a scalable, impactful product that challenges the status quo in the crypto and financial trading landscape.

Your First 6 Months:
? Product Vision: Collaborate closely with the Head of Product to define a UX vision that
enhances DeFi and trading product interactions, ensuring the design direction aligns
with the broader product strategy and vision.
? Research-Driven Insights: Lead user research and competitive analysis to deeply
understand the behaviours, needs, and pain points of both novice and experienced
users in the crypto and trading space. Use these insights to inform design decisions that
simplify complex financial tools and improve overall user experience.
? Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, product, and marketing teams
to create product experiences that delight users while aligning with business goals and
market trends.
? Prototyping & Testing: Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for fast iteration
and testing. Continuously refine designs based on user feedback, ensuring the product
remains accessible and engaging for all user segments.
? Innovative User Journeys: Redesign core product flows for DeFi trading, focusing on
reducing friction, improving ease of use, and enhancing trust in high-stakes financial
environments.
? Design Systems: Implement scalable design systems, ensuring a consistent and
polished user experience across mobile and web interfaces, particularly for financial and
crypto data visualisation.
Key Responsibilities:
? User Journey Design: Create and optimise user journeys tailored to the DeFi and trading
landscape, ensuring users can intuitively navigate complex financial strategies while
maintaining engagement.
? Interaction Design: Focus on micro-interactions that build trust, enhance user
satisfaction, and elevate user experience in high-stakes trading environments.
? User Research: Lead research initiatives to understand user needs, analysing data and
feedback to drive design decisions that enhance product-market fit.
? Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and key
stakeholders to ensure the seamless execution of design initiatives and alignment with
business objectives.
? Prototyping & Wireframing: Develop high-fidelity wireframes and prototypes that clearly
communicate design ideas and user flows, ensuring efficient feedback loops with users
and internal teams.
? Strategic Design Direction: Contribute to the product's strategic direction by maintaining
a user-centric approach, balancing innovation with business needs.
? Usability Testing & Iteration: Conduct frequent usability testing, leveraging insights to
iterate on designs that improve key metrics like user engagement, conversion, and
satisfaction.
? Metrics-Driven Design: Leverage user data, behavioural analytics, and market research
to continuously improve the user experience and ensure the product meets the needs of
its DeFi and trading audience.
? Collaborate effectively with UI designers to enhance design fidelity and improve user
experience.
Knowledge & Experience:
? Experience: 8+ years in UX/product design, with significant experience in designing for
B2C digital products. Prior experience with DeFi, blockchain, or trading platforms is
highly desirable.
? DeFi & Trading Knowledge: A strong understanding of the DeFi ecosystem, including
key concepts like smart contracts, tokenomics, DEXs, and yield farming. Experience in
simplifying complex financial flows for users in trading environments is a plus.
? User Journey Mastery: Proven experience in mapping and refining complex user
journeys, with a focus on B2C applications in highly technical or financial industries.
? Interaction Design Expertise: Mastery of both macro and micro-interactions, with a
strong focus on creating intuitive, user-centred designs that drive engagement and build
trust.
? Research & Testing: Strong experience in leading user research, synthesising findings,
and using data-driven insights to influence design decisions.
? Collaboration: Ability to lead design discussions and collaborate with cross-functional
teams to create best-in-class product experiences.
? Data-Driven: Skilled in using user data and analytics to inform design decisions,
ensuring product enhancements are tied to key business metrics.
? Agile Environment: Familiarity with Agile and Lean methodologies, working in fast-paced,
iterative development cycles.

? Mobile & Web Expertise: Experience designing for both mobile and web applications,
