We’re working with an applied research and engineering lab operating at the intersection of cryptography, blockchain, and emerging technologies. The team focuses on building production-ready infrastructure that strengthens the long-term security of digital assets, with a strong emphasis on forward-looking cryptographic standards and real-world usability. Their work spans tooling, integrations, audits, and research in collaboration with leading ecosystem partners.

The Role

As a Senior Protocol Engineer, you’ll join a growing Product Engineering team responsible for designing and shipping secure, long-lived smart contract systems used in high-value production environments. This is a full-time, fully remote role based in Europe (GMT–GMT+2).

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain production-grade smart contracts
  • Own contract architecture, upgradeability, and lifecycle management
  • Identify and mitigate on-chain security risks
  • Prepare contracts for external audits and implement remediations
  • Develop robust test suites (unit, integration, fuzzing, fork tests)
  • Manage deployments, upgrades, and live monitoring
  • Collaborate closely with off-chain engineering teams

What You Bring

  • Strong Solidity experience shipping production contracts
  • Deep knowledge of EVM internals and common vulnerabilities
  • Hands-on experience with proxies, upgrades, and audit prep
  • Familiarity with key ERC standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-4337, ERC-1271)
  • Experience maintaining high-value mainnet deployments
  • Excellent testing, debugging, and communication skills

Nice to Have

  • ERC-4337 / account abstraction experience
  • Exposure to post-quantum cryptography
  • Experience with AA tooling (e.g. ZeroDev, Biconomy, Alchemy)
  • Token launch or vesting contract experience
  • Open-source or Ethereum standards contributions
