We’re working with an applied research and engineering lab operating at the intersection of cryptography, blockchain, and emerging technologies. The team focuses on building forward-compatible security infrastructure to protect digital assets, combining applied research with production-ready tooling used across leading ecosystems.

The Role

As a Research Engineer, you’ll join a growing R&D Engineering team working on cutting-edge research that directly informs real-world products. You’ll help shape next-generation cryptographic systems while ensuring research outcomes are practical, secure, and ready for production. This is a full-time, fully remote role based in Europe (GMT–GMT+2).

What You’ll Do

  • Research, design, and build high-fidelity proof-of-concepts
  • Provide cryptographic guidance and protocol-level support to product teams
  • Uphold rigorous security and cryptographic best practices
  • Own key R&D initiatives and drive external contributions
  • Support partners through post-quantum migration efforts
  • Track emerging threats and new cryptographic primitives
  • Translate complex research into clear technical content and documentation

What You Bring

  • Strong experience with Rust or similar systems languages
  • Solidity experience shipping secure smart contracts
  • TypeScript experience building production tooling or applications
  • Deep understanding of cryptographic primitives and real-world constraints
  • Strong knowledge of EVM internals and cross-chain ecosystems
  • Proven problem-solving ability and strong technical writing skills
  • Public contributions to the blockchain or cryptography ecosystem

Nice to Have

  • ERC-4337 / account abstraction knowledge
  • Experience with post-quantum cryptography
  • Protocol or decentralised identity experience
  • Frontend experience (React or similar)
  • Formal verification or AI-assisted research experience
