We are partnering with a fast-growing fintech organisation that is expanding its digital banking capabilities. As part of this growth, they are looking to hire an experienced Product Manager to take ownership of a key virtual banking product area, focusing on scalable, API-driven financial solutions.
The Role
As Product Manager – Virtual Banking, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering a core product domain, overseeing the full lifecycle from discovery through to launch and continuous improvement.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, Risk & Compliance, and commercial stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of robust, customer-focused solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning product strategy and execution within a virtual banking domain
- Translating business and customer needs into clear product requirements, including workflows, APIs, and user journeys
- Driving roadmap planning and prioritisation, focusing on high-impact initiatives
- Ensuring operational readiness, including controls, exception management, and audit considerations
- Defining and tracking performance metrics to guide product decisions and improvements
- Communicating effectively through documentation, updates, and structured decision-making
About You
We are looking for a product professional with strong experience in financial technology or payments, and a track record of delivering platform-based products.
You should have:
- Around 7+ years’ experience in product management within fintech, payments, banking, or financial infrastructure
- Experience working on API-driven or platform products in close collaboration with engineering teams
- Strong stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical functions
- A structured, analytical mindset with a focus on execution and measurable outcomes
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex trade-offs clearly
- Comfort operating in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities
Desirable Knowledge
Experience or familiarity with the following areas will be beneficial:
- Virtual accounts and account lifecycle management
- End-to-end payment flows (initiation through to settlement and reconciliation)
- Payment rails and messaging concepts
- Regulatory considerations such as KYC/KYB and AML
- Risk frameworks, controls, and audit processes in financial products
- Reconciliation and reporting requirements
- Working with external partners such as banks or financial service providers
