Role Overview
You will work directly with the CEO to:
- Build a data-driven decision-making system
- Measure and optimize performance across all divisions
- Drive company-wide KPIs, ROI models, and strategic insights
Your goal: ensure every major decision at GRVT — from trading strategies to marketing campaigns — is driven by data, not instinct.
Key Responsibilities
1. Company-Wide Performance Intelligence
- Build and manage the central performance dashboard across Trading, Marketing, BD, Product, and Operations.
- Create KPI frameworks that tie each team’s goals to company revenue and growth.
- Deliver weekly and monthly CEO reports summarizing what’s working, what’s not, and recommended actions.
2. Strategy & Insight Generation
- Analyze performance trends and identify growth opportunities.
- Conduct deep dives into P&L, funnels, and user retention.
- Build data-backed forecasts and scenarios (volume, revenue, user growth, liquidity).
- Turn insights into clear strategic recommendations.
3. KPI Setting & ROI Evaluation
- Define and track KPIs for marketing, BD, and partner performance.
- Measure campaign and partnership impact and advise on optimization.
- Create ROI models for partnerships, vendors, and budget decisions.
4. Data Infrastructure & Automation
- Set up data pipelines, dashboards, and analytics tools (BigQuery, Looker, Metabase, Mixpanel).
- Build and maintain SQL queries and data models.
- Create self-serve data systems that give teams reliable and unified data.
5. Leadership & Cross-Functional Influence
- Work closely with Trading, Marketing, BD, and Product leaders to align analytics with strategy.
- Present insights clearly to the CEO, investors, and board.
- Eventually build and lead a small Data & Insights team.

Ideal Candidate Profile
Background
- 5–10 years in data analytics, strategy, or BI roles.
- Experience in fintech, crypto, trading, or top tech firms is ideal.
Technical Skills
- Advanced SQL; strong Python/R skills.
- Experience with BI tools (Superset, PowerBI).
- Strong Excel/Sheets modeling ability.
Business Acumen
- Solid understanding of financial modeling, P&L, and growth metrics.
- Able to connect data insights to real business outcomes.
Strategic Thinking
- Experienced in OKRs, performance analysis, and operational improvement.
Communication
- Can explain complex data simply.
- Confident presenting to senior leadership.
Ownership
- Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable in fast-paced environments.
- Able to act as both operator and strategist.
Domain Plus
- Experience in crypto, trading, or on-chain analytics is helpful but not required.
