We are partnering with a fast-growing technology business at the intersection of energy markets and high-performance computing. They provide a suite of software, hardware, financial, and operational services to large-scale data centre operators, helping them optimise energy usage, manage costs, and gain competitive advantage in demanding market conditions.
As energy represents a major cost driver for these operators, the company is expanding into key US power markets such as ERCOT through innovative energy management tools and participation in capacity markets, demand response programmes, ancillary services, and other grid initiatives. Their solutions help clients hedge market risks, reduce costs, and seamlessly integrate with energy systems.
The Role
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Energy Operations Analyst to join their growing energy team. This is an exciting opportunity to help build and refine operational processes that allow clients to participate in major US energy markets as flexible loads. You’ll be working where energy and compute meet, ensuring smooth operations, compliance, and performance optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and monitor processes for participation in ERCOT and other US energy markets.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of capacity, demand response, ancillary services, and other distributed energy resources (DER) products.
- Support onboarding of new clients and partners onto energy management platforms.
- Provide operational guidance and troubleshooting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with market rules and internal standards.
- Review and analyse energy-related billing, including transmission and distribution charges, to inform cost management and reporting.
- Produce and maintain reports and dashboards on energy usage, costs, revenues, optimisation actions, and key operational metrics.
- Identify and implement opportunities for workflow automation.
- Contribute to content creation (written and video) to promote energy solutions.
About You
- 1–3 years’ experience in operations, data analysis, or similar analytical roles.
- Proficiency with data tools such as Excel, SQL, and BI platforms (Python is a plus).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Strong interest in energy markets, grid operations, clean energy, or related sectors.
- Enthusiasm for emerging industries where energy and advanced computing converge.
