As a new and innovative sweepstakes platform, our mission is to revolutionize the sweepstakes industry by delivering a unique sweepstakes experience. As the Director of Marketing, you will be responsible for shaping the go-to-market strategy and driving the platform’s growth through customer loyalty, retention, and engagement. This role requires an experienced marketing leader with a deep understanding of the sweepstakes sector, combined with expertise in loyalty programs, retention strategies, and a data-driven approach to marketing. Reporting directly to the C-level team, you will develop and execute comprehensive strategies that increase brand awareness, acquire new customers, and foster long-term user engagement in this competitive market. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and lead a robust go-to-market plan for the sweepstakes platform, ensuring a successful launch and sustained growth. Focus on tailored marketing approaches that comply with regulations while maximizing customer acquisition.

  • Loyalty and Retention Strategy: Design and implement strategies to boost customer loyalty and retention, focusing on gamification, rewards programs, and personalized experiences that keep users engaged and active over time.

  • Sweepstakes Sector Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of the sweepstakes industry to create compelling campaigns that resonate with target audiences, while staying compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Brand Positioning: Craft a marketing narrative that clearly communicates the platform’s value proposition, distinguishing it in a competitive market. Build brand equity through creative storytelling, partnerships, and customer engagement strategies.

  • Customer Acquisition and Growth: Drive user acquisition using a combination of digital marketing, social media, influencer marketing, and other innovative channels. Focus on expanding our user base with a data-driven, scalable approach.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize analytics to measure and optimize marketing efforts. Refine acquisition and retention strategies based on data insights and performance metrics.

  • Leadership and Team Development: Build and lead a high-performing marketing team. Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and performance excellence, ensuring the team continuously pushes boundaries.

  • Collaborative Marketing Execution: Work closely with product, legal, and customer service teams to align marketing strategies with product development and ensure compliance with sweepstakes regulations.

  • Market and Competitive Analysis: Monitor trends and competitors in the sweepstakes space to ensure our platform remains at the forefront of innovation. Adapt strategies based on market shifts and emerging opportunities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Sweepstakes Industry Experience: In-depth understanding of the sweepstakes model, its regulations in the  market, and experience in creating effective campaigns within this framework.

  • Go-to-Market Expertise: Proven experience leading successful go-to-market strategies for new platforms or products in a competitive environment, ideally within the gaming, sweepstakes, or entertainment sectors.

  • Loyalty and Retention Expertise: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute customer retention programs, loyalty strategies, and rewards systems that drive long-term engagement and satisfaction.

  • Creative Marketing Leadership: A strong track record of innovative brand-building, including the use of digital, influencer, and experiential marketing to grow and engage audiences.

  • Data-Driven Approach: Advanced skills in using analytics and performance metrics to inform and refine marketing strategies. Experience with modern marketing tools and platforms to optimize marketing spend and maximize ROI.

  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team-building capabilities, with experience managing and inspiring diverse marketing teams to achieve ambitious goals.

  • Regulatory Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with sweepstakes laws and regulations in the , ensuring that all marketing efforts adhere to legal standards and guidelines.
