Role Overview

The Director of Finance and Treasury will lead strategic and operational treasury functions across both fiat and digital assets. Responsibilities include establishing accounting best practices, managing payments and multisig operations, and ensuring responsible stewardship of ecosystem financial resources.

The role also involves designing risk-management frameworks, planning liquidity needs, and contributing financial expertise in governance discussions and decision-making forums.

Key Responsibilities

Treasury & Strategy

• Develop and maintain treasury management strategies for fiat and digital assets
• Model liquidity and cash-flow scenarios for long-term planning
• Coordinate conversions with OTC desks, custodians, and exchanges
• Lead risk-management initiatives and enforce transaction controls
• Establish internal controls for payments and vendor oversight
• Drive operational improvements to enhance security and efficiency

Payments & Operations

• Oversee all payments with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
• Manage daily treasury flows, settlements, and multi-currency transactions
• Maintain structured oversight of multisig operations and documentation

Accounting & Reporting

• Oversee accounting processes in coordination with external partners
• Define and implement accounting best practices for crypto-native activities
• Deliver regular financial reporting to leadership and community stakeholders

Governance & Collaboration

• Participate in governance forums as the treasury representative
• Work cross-functionally to align financial operations with ecosystem goals
• Communicate complex financial matters to diverse audiences

Qualifications

Required

• 4+ years of experience in crypto treasury management
• Strong understanding of blockchain finance, custody tools, and crypto asset management
• Background in payments, OTC conversions, and liquidity planning
• Experience managing accounting processes for digital-asset transactions
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Excellent communication skills in a distributed environment
• Experience working with custodians, auditors, and service providers
• Familiarity with compliance obligations across fiat and crypto

Preferred

• Experience with decentralized governance or DAO treasury structures
• Understanding of community-driven governance processes
• Familiarity with crypto accounting tools (Xero, Cryptio, Tres)
• Ability to design scalable treasury frameworks across Web3 and traditional finance
