As the COO/GM, you will oversee the entire operational strategy and execution of a revolutionary crypto trading platform that blends the best of decentralised (DEX) and centralised (CEX) exchanges. Your role will be crucial in driving operational efficiency while ensuring the platform delivers a slick, fast, and user-friendly experience for traders, from novices to experts.

You will be responsible for scaling the platform from ideation to execution, working closely with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and tech. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both the operational complexities of high-liquidity exchanges and the innovative approach required to simplify this for the average user.

In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in creating a trading platform with cutting-edge functionality, connecting automated market makers (AMMs) with liquidity sources, while maintaining a CEX front-end that mirrors the user experience of popular trading platforms like Robinhood. Your First 6 Months:

• Operational Roadmap: Develop and execute an operational roadmap that aligns with the company’s vision of delivering an efficient, user-centric trading platform with both DEX and CEX elements.
• Scalability & Growth: Design systems and processes that ensure scalability and operational efficiency as the platform moves from ideation to launch, with a focus on supporting high liquidity and seamless one-click transactions.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with the product, tech, and marketing teams to ensure all operational aspects are in sync with platform innovations, customer needs, and brand positioning.
• AMM & Liquidity Management: Oversee the operational integration of AMMs with liquidity pools, ensuring a seamless connection that allows for fluid, fast transactions and optimised liquidity.
• Platform Simplification: Drive efforts to simplify the trading process for users, ensuring the platform is slick, intuitive, and accessible, while managing the complexity of exchange operations behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Leadership: Lead and manage all operational aspects of the platform, from strategic planning to execution, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
• Process Optimisation: Establish processes that allow for rapid scalability, focusing on system integration, user experience, and liquidity management.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Partner with marketing, product, and technology teams to ensure the operational strategy supports the platform’s vision and market positioning.
• Scalable Infrastructure: Build and maintain a robust infrastructure capable of handling high transaction volumes, low latency, and minimal downtime.
• User-Centric Operations: Ensure that every operational decision aligns with the goal of delivering a simplified, fast, and engaging trading experience for the average user, while maintaining sophisticated features for advanced traders.
• Risk Management & Compliance: Establish and manage risk controls, compliance frameworks, and security protocols, ensuring the platform meets regulatory requirements and user trust remains intact.
• Launch Execution: Oversee the launch of the platform from ideation to MVP, ensuring all operational aspects are ready for market entry, and lead the continued scaling of operations post-launch.

Knowledge & Experience:

• Extensive Operational Leadership: 10+ years of experience in operational roles, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership position within fintech, crypto, or related sectors. Proven track record of scaling complex operations.
• Exchange & Trading Expertise: Deep knowledge of exchange operations, including both DEX and CEX platforms, liquidity management, and order matching engines.
• AMM Integration Experience: Hands-on experience with automated market makers (AMMs) and connecting them to liquidity sources, ensuring optimal transaction speeds and liquidity availability.
• Process & Systems Design: Demonstrated ability to design and implement operational processes and systems that support rapid scaling, high liquidity, and seamless user experiences.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven ability to work closely with cross-departmental teams, especially product, marketing, and tech, to ensure operational alignment with the overall business strategy.
