As the CMO, you will define and lead the marketing strategy for a ground-breaking crypto platform that merges the best of decentralised (DEX) and centralised exchanges (CEX). You will be instrumental in making the platform slick, fast, and easy to use, while presenting an energetic, inspirational brand to the market. Your challenge will be to simplify a complex trading environment for the everyday user, while showcasing the innovative features of our platform to advanced traders.

This role offers a unique opportunity to create a marketing vision from the ground up. Youโ€™ll take the ideation-stage product and craft its market narrative, driving user adoption and engagement through high-impact campaigns and collaborations. Your strategy will be crucial in positioning the platform as the “Robinhood” of crypto trading โ€” delivering fast, cheap, and innovative trading options to a mainstream audience.

Your First 6 Months:

  • Brand Strategy: Develop a bold, energetic brand strategy that captures the platformโ€™s innovative spirit and its mission to simplify crypto trading for the average person.
  • Campaign Creation: Launch compelling marketing campaigns that communicate the platformโ€™s unique blend of a DEX backend with a CEX front-end, focusing on speed, ease of use, and liquidity.
  • Market Positioning: Work with the leadership team to position the product as a revolutionary trading platform, with clear messaging around its benefits for both novice and experienced traders.
  • User Acquisition: Drive aggressive user acquisition strategies, leveraging data-driven insights to target key demographics and grow the user base quickly.
  • Collaborative Innovation: Partner with product and tech teams to ensure a seamless alignment between marketing and platform functionality, ensuring that user feedback informs both product improvements and marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Leadership: Define and execute the overall marketing vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with the companyโ€™s business goals.
  • Brand Development: Lead the creation of a brand thatโ€™s both inspirational and approachable, making high-liquidity crypto trading accessible to the everyday user.
  • Campaign Management: Oversee the design, development, and execution of innovative marketing campaigns across multiple channels (digital, social, partnerships), focusing on creating viral momentum and user engagement.
  • Market Education: Simplify complex financial tools and trading options for the general public, ensuring messaging resonates with both beginner and advanced traders.
  • Growth Strategy: Develop and implement growth marketing strategies that increase platform adoption, user retention, and market share in both decentralised and centralised trading spaces.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the product, technology, and design teams to ensure the brand and marketing efforts reflect the user experience and platform innovations.
  • Partnerships & Collaborations: Identify and pursue high-impact partnerships that expand the platformโ€™s reach and reputation within the crypto and fintech communities.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Proven Marketing Expertise: 10+ years of experience in senior marketing roles, ideally within fintech, crypto, or tech industries, with a proven track record of building and scaling consumer brands.
  • Brand Strategy Experience: Deep experience in creating and launching energetic, customer-centric brands that resonate with both mainstream and niche audiences.
  • Growth Marketing Mastery: Demonstrated ability to create and execute data-driven growth marketing strategies that deliver measurable user acquisition and retention results.
  • Crypto/Fintech Knowledge: Solid understanding of crypto markets, decentralised finance (DeFi), exchanges (DEX, CEX), and trading platforms. Ability to communicate these concepts to both expert and novice audiences.
  • Cross-Channel Campaigns: Experience designing and executing high-impact campaigns across multiple channels (digital, social, influencer, etc.), with a focus on performance marketing and user engagement.
