Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Blockchain & Layer 2 Infrastructure

We’re partnering with a rapidly growing blockchain company developing next-generation Layer 2 infrastructure that powers seamless on-chain consumer finance. Their mission is to make digital financial activity—saving, spending, earning, and investing—simple, accessible, and entirely on-chain.

To support their continued growth, we're hiring a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the blockchain engineering team, define the long-term technical vision, and drive innovation across their Layer 2 protocol. This is a pivotal role for a technically exceptional leader with deep blockchain expertise and a strategic mindset.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead the architecture and development of core blockchain components, including consensus systems, smart contract infrastructure, and virtual machine technology.
• Define and implement the company’s blockchain technology roadmap in alignment with product and business goals.
• Build and manage a high-performing technical team, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies, driving the technical direction of the platform.
• Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning, product development, and ecosystem growth.
• Represent the company’s technical vision to external partners, developer communities, and stakeholders.
• Ensure ongoing optimization for scalability, security, and performance of the platform.

What We’re Looking For

• Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in blockchain, distributed systems, or related tech, with 5+ years in technical leadership roles.
• Deep understanding of blockchain fundamentals including consensus algorithms, cryptography, and smart contract systems.
• Strong EVM experience (Ethereum, Solidity).
• Familiarity with stacks like Cosmos SDK or Substrate is a strong plus.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, scale, and mentor engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical topics clearly.
• Strong awareness of blockchain trends and an innovative, forward-looking mindset.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin (essential).

• Publications or research in blockchain protocols, cryptography, or distributed systems.
• Experience with cross-chain tech, ZK proofs, Layer 2 scaling, or similar innovations.
