We are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing, international Payment Service Provider (PSP) specialising in high-risk digital sectors, including online entertainment and gaming. The company delivers secure, scalable, and innovative payment solutions to merchants across multiple geographies.
As part of its next growth phase, the business is seeking a Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to own the full revenue lifecycle across sales, partnerships, marketing, and customer success. This is a pivotal C-suite role focused on driving aggressive but sustainable growth within a regulated environment.
Role Summary
The CRO will define and execute the company’s global commercial strategy. Responsibilities include scaling merchant acquisition in high-risk verticals, expanding into new regions, managing strategic partnerships, and ensuring strong merchant retention. The role works cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Technology, and Compliance leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Growth & Strategy
- Develop and execute a diversified revenue growth strategy for regulated, high-risk sectors
- Drive expansion into new markets, payment channels, and value-added services
- Achieve ambitious revenue targets while maintaining risk and compliance balance
Sales & Partnerships
- Build and lead global sales, business development, and account management teams
- Define performance metrics, pipeline tracking, and revenue reporting frameworks
- Structure competitive commercial deals, including pricing and revenue-share models
Merchant & Partner Acquisition
- Acquire and retain high-value merchants, affiliates, and platform partners
- Manage commercial relationships with banks, acquirers, payment networks, and ISOs
- Lead complex deal negotiations to optimise revenue and margins
Customer Success & Retention
- Implement frameworks to maximise customer lifetime value and reduce churn
- Drive upsell and cross-sell initiatives across value-added products such as fraud prevention, crypto payments, and instant settlements
Compliance Alignment
- Partner with compliance and risk teams to ensure commercial strategies meet regulatory requirements
- Support underwriting and ongoing KYC/KYB processes
- Embed responsible selling practices across all commercial functions
Market Positioning
- Collaborate with marketing to strengthen brand positioning within the digital payments ecosystem
- Represent the business at global industry events
- Establish thought leadership within high-growth digital sectors
Candidate Profile
Essential Experience
- Senior revenue leadership experience (CRO, VP Sales, or equivalent) within a PSP, acquirer, or high-risk payments environment
- Deep understanding of online entertainment sectors such as iGaming or online betting
- Proven success building and scaling global commercial teams (EU, MENA, LatAm, APAC preferred)
- Strong network across operators, acquirers, payment providers, and regulators
- Experience managing high-risk portfolios with chargeback and compliance sensitivity
