We are hiring on behalf of a fast-growing financial technology business operating across digital payments, settlement infrastructure, and institutional asset movement.
The Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for acquiring and expanding relationships with institutional clients across Asia. This is a commercial, hands-on role covering the full client journey, from identifying opportunities and leading pitches through to onboarding, activation, and ongoing volume growth.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify and secure new institutional clients, including trading firms, payment companies, financial platforms, liquidity providers, and digital asset businesses.
- Drive transaction growth across fiat, stable-value digital asset, and cross-border settlement solutions.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, presentations, commercial negotiation, closing, and handover to onboarding teams.
- Build a strong pipeline across priority markets and client segments.
Relationship Management
- Develop and grow existing institutional accounts, ensuring long-term retention and increased usage.
- Identify opportunities to expand client activity across new corridors, products, and settlement use cases.
- Work closely with internal teams across compliance, operations, finance, and product to ensure smooth client onboarding and service delivery.
Market & Commercial Insights
- Monitor market trends across payments, digital assets, liquidity, and regional regulatory developments.
- Track competitor positioning and emerging client needs across Asia.
- Share structured feedback with product and senior commercial stakeholders to support roadmap and go-to-market strategy.
Skills & Experience
- 5–10 years of sales or business development experience within fintech, payments, FX, digital assets, banking infrastructure, or related sectors.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving revenue, volume, or transaction growth targets.
- Strong institutional network across Asia, particularly within financial services, payments, trading, or digital asset ecosystems.
- Confident managing complex B2B sales processes involving compliance, legal, operational, and treasury stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Fluent English required; additional Asian languages would be advantageous.
