The brief

What this seat exists to do.

Head of Product, reporting to the CEO. Founding product hire — the role exists today as a CEO remit and is being lifted out.

Owns the product organisation from a standing start. First responsibility is to hire a senior PM and a head of design within 6 months. The seat will manage to around 6 product staff by month 12.

Strategic moment: the firm is preparing to open the waitlist into general availability over the next 9 months. The Head of Product needs to define the surface that goes to GA, hold the product discipline as scale arrives, and run the relationship between product, research, and the editorial layer the firm is building.

London-based, office-first. Travel to investor and partner meetings in the US is expected once a quarter.

What we are assessing for

  • Founding or near-founding product hire elsewhere — has built a product organisation from one, not joined an existing one.
  • Strong consumer instinct. The firm is not B2B. We are not interested in candidates whose product chops are SaaS-only.
  • Comfort with model-mediated product surfaces — has shipped product where an LLM or equivalent sits between the user and the answer.
  • Patterns: a founding PM from a respected consumer AI product; a senior PM at a consumer-tech company ready for a first head-of role; a founder who has decided to operate.
