Staff Backend Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design and build scalable, high-performance backend systems that meet critical business and product needs. You’ll also play a key role in shaping the long-term vision for our backend architecture and its scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement new backend services using Node.js to address critical business and product requirements.
• Design and build scalable systems, solving complex challenges with modern cloud technologies and best practices.
• Define and articulate a long-term vision for scaling and maintaining backend systems and the teams that manage them.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, product managers, and leadership to translate technical and product goals into quarterly roadmaps.
• Write high-quality, well-tested, and maintainable code that meets the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.

What You Bring:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering.
• Proven experience in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services, with expertise in service-oriented architectures.
• A strong commitment to writing high-quality, testable code that delivers value to users.
• Passion for contributing to systems that foster innovation and global connectivity.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience navigating rapid growth phases in organizations, from startup to mid-size.
• Hands-on experience with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with blockchain technologies (e.g., Solana, Bitcoin, Ethereum).
• Expertise in decomposing large monolith systems into efficient microservices.
• Proficiency with tools and technologies such as AWS, Web3.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Background in building financial systems or those requiring high reliability and security.
