Senior Protocol Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Senior Protocol Engineer with extensive experience in zero-knowledge proofs (zk proofs) and a strong focus on developing scalable, high-performance infrastructure for comprehensive rollup solutions. In this position, you will spearhead the design, development, and enhancement of crucial elements within our rollup framework, ensuring optimal efficiency, security, and scalability. You will work closely with a diverse team of smart contract engineers, cryptographers, and protocol researchers to push the boundaries of decentralized systems, shaping the future of blockchain scalability and privacy.

Requirements

Technical Skills:

• At least 5 years of proven experience in protocol engineering, low-level system design, or related fields, with a particular focus on off-chain infrastructure and zk cryptography.
• Strong understanding of decentralized systems, consensus models, and the dynamics between on-chain and off-chain components.
• Extensive knowledge of rollup frameworks, covering sequencing, execution, data availability, and settlement. Hands-on experience in developing and refining the full rollup stack, including sequencers, provers, verifiers, and relayers.
• Deep familiarity with Layer 1 (L1) and Layer 2 (L2) interactions, as well as the complexities associated with finality and bridging.
• Demonstrated ability to create and fine-tune high-performance protocol infrastructures, focusing on reducing latency, increasing transaction throughput, and optimizing proof generation and verification times within rollups.
• Strong programming expertise in Rust.
