The successful candidate will delve into existing blockchain protocols, innovate with design and optimization, and drive forward-thinking research in the Layer 2 ecosystem.Key Responsibilities:
Analyze current Layer 2 and Ethereum protocols through comprehensive studies of codebases and scholarly articles.
Develop innovative designs and enhancements for a leading Layer 2 solution.
Initiate new research directions in blockchain technology advancements such as EVM enhancements, MEV strategies, and beyond.
Produce influential content to communicate complex ideas effectively through talks and posts.
Advocate for our client at significant industry gatherings, enhancing their presence and influence.
Collaborate with internal engineering teams to transfer cutting-edge ideas into actionable strategies.
Forge and maintain partnerships with academic institutions and research professionals to address unresolved issues in blockchain technology.
Qualifications:
A PhD in a relevant field or a minimum of one year of experience in crypto research.
Extensive understanding of Layer 2 technologies and Ethereum architecture.
Skilled in composing and evaluating academic papers and EIPs.
Capable of presenting complex blockchain research in a clear and influential manner.
Preferably experienced in blockchain infrastructure development or cryptography.
Proficient in programming languages such as Golang, Rust, or C++; experience in Golang and Rust is advantageous but not required.
