A leading digital currency exchange is seeking an experienced Enterprise Risk Manager to lead its fraud risk and strategy function. This key role will involve the development and implementation of a robust risk management framework to protect payment operations from fraud threats and ensure secure financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Fraud Risk Strategy: Design and execute a comprehensive fraud risk management plan. Enhance fraud detection and prevention mechanisms.
Fraud Prevention Systems: Manage the complete anti-fraud toolset and keep systems updated with the latest fraud intelligence.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (engineering, legal, compliance) and external stakeholders (regulators, financial institutions) to align fraud risk strategies.
Monitoring & Reporting: Establish KPIs to track the effectiveness of fraud risk management. Prepare reports for senior leadership.
Incident Management: Lead fraud incident response efforts and conduct post-incident analysis to drive continuous improvement.
Impact Analysis: Assess the broader financial ecosystem’s impact of fraud risk strategies and mitigate any adverse effects.
What We’re Looking For:
A proactive approach, willing to tackle issues hands-on and learn quickly.
Experience in digital payments, ideally within cryptocurrency or fintech sectors.
Strong expertise in modern payment fraud prevention systems such as Sardine, SEON, Sift, Kount, and more.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects efficiently.
A customer-centric mindset with a drive to deeply understand and address customer needs.
Flexibility and resilience in the face of feedback and challenges.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field.
Advanced certifications (CFA, FRM, CFE) are a plus.
5+ years of experience in risk management, particularly in digital payments and fraud prevention.
Strong analytical and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Location & Travel: This is a fully remote position open to candidates based in the United States or Canada. Some travel may be required.
