Marketing Lead (DeFi)

We are seeking an experienced DeFi Marketing Lead to integrate strategic marketing expertise with innovative Web3 growth methodologies to support the success of decentralised finance (DeFi) projects within our ecosystem. This role is pivotal in driving the growth and success of partnered projects, focusing on increasing active user engagement and ensuring sustainable liquidity retention. You will act as a consultant for partner projects and will also manage growth campaigns tailored to their needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement growth strategies for partners launching DeFi projects, utilising both Web2 and Web3 marketing and engagement techniques (e.g., social campaigns, influencer collaborations, digital advertising, token incentives, cross-platform content creation, etc.).
  • Design and execute Web3 growth campaigns aligned with partners’ objectives.
  • Analyse and address partnersโ€™ specific needs to craft tailored solutions, focusing on boosting their growth and liquidity.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including community, partnership, and product marketing, to deliver cohesive and effective campaigns.
  • Contribute insights to the product roadmap to enhance ecosystem growth and DeFi capabilities.
  • Maintain strong communication with external stakeholders to assist with go-to-market strategies, industry insights, and problem resolution.
  • Develop and standardise best practices and scalable growth programmes to maximise results.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in DeFi or Web3 roles is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years in growth and account management, including proven success in Web2 and Web3 growth initiatives (case studies and presentations will be required during the interview process).
  • Comprehensive understanding of the DeFi and Web3 ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of user journey challenges specific to DeFi and cross-platform engagement strategies.
  • Proven relationship-building skills and excellent communication abilities to support partner collaboration.
  • Self-driven and entrepreneurial, with the ability to work independently while proactively seeking input when necessary.
  • Availability to collaborate across multiple time zones with global partners.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
