Head of Grants

A leading blockchain technology foundation is at the forefront of blockchain innovation, championing the development and expansion of its ecosystem. As the Head of Grants, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the blockchain landscape by overseeing the distribution of grants to innovative projects and initiatives that drive growth and adoption of the platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning and Management:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive grants strategy aligned with the foundation’s mission and goals.
  • Identify key areas for funding that will enhance the ecosystem and support the blockchain community.

• Grant Programme Oversight:

  • Manage the end-to-end grant process, including application review, selection, distribution, and monitoring.
  • Ensure transparency, fairness, and efficiency in the allocation of grants.

• Evaluation and Assessment:

  • Establish criteria for evaluating grant proposals and assessing their potential impact on the ecosystem.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of applications, working with a team of evaluators and experts as necessary.

• Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with grant applicants, recipients, and other stakeholders within the blockchain community.
  • Serve as a point of contact for grant-related inquiries and provide guidance and support to applicants throughout the process.

• Reporting and Accountability:

  • Track and report on the progress and outcomes of funded projects to ensure alignment with the foundation’s objectives.
  • Prepare regular reports for the foundation’s board and stakeholders, detailing grant distributions, project progress, and overall impact.

• Community Development:

  • Promote and advocate for the grant programme through various channels, including conferences, workshops, and online platforms.
  • Foster a collaborative environment within the community, encouraging knowledge sharing and innovation.

Qualifications:

• Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in grant management, programme management, or a similar role within the blockchain or technology sector.
